Why This Book Matters

"Who cares?" The importance of caring in a chaotic, noisy world.

Dr. Nader wrote The Power of Caring because caring isn’t such a simple thing. We live in an age of constant exposure. Every day brings more and more headlines that feel urgent, tragic, or enraging. Social media amplifies outrage. Everything feels out of control.

At the same time, our personal lives are faster and more demanding than ever. Work follows us home. Notifications follow us into bed. The nervous system rarely rests.

Under these conditions, caring can begin to feel impossible.

We find ourselves caring about everything, feeling guilty, or growing numb at the constant barrage of new issues circulating in the world today.

This book does not ask you to care more, it is guiding you towards caring better.

The Power of Caring isn’t placing blame. It’s about acknowledgement. The acknowledgement that caring all the time can be hard but, it’s still important to do so. It is about knowing when to draw boundaries, and how to find the right words in a difficult situation.

It is not a book that needs to be rushed through, but rather one to practice with. You only need curiosity and a willingness to examine how you’re living your own answer to “Who cares?”
